Finger bars
The Rapid finger bar is used for mowing work requiring a precise cut, often used for harvesting livestock forage. The clean cutting of the grass without leaving pieces sticking out enables the forage to regrow very quickly, something of great benefit in areas with short vegetation periods.
The Rapid finger bar, with a finger spacing of 50.8 mm, is available in two options. The most common bar, which is available in a variety of widths, is the middle cutting bar. We offer the bars with outer shoes or with a cutting mechanism. The outer shoe feeds the cut grass away from the grass still to be cut, thus preventing any overlapping. Bars with cutting mechanisms at each end permit the cut grass to be overcut.
A second option is the diamond bar. The main difference of this model is the larger finger spacing of 58 mm which helps to reduce bar blockage. This makes the bar ideal for mowing on difficult terrain. The disadvantage of diamond bars is the enhanced cutting force required as, in contrast to middle cutting bars, all the cutters are in operation simultaneously.
